Working with valued customers, National Pump and Energy aim to inform and guide our project partners along the way.
We strive for our clients to achieve the best outcomes and make informed decisions.
For this stormwater pumping bypass in Melbourne, NPE had to find a bypass solution for a pump station with pumping capacity totaling an estimated peak flow of 7000L/s across four Axial flow pumps.
A crucial part of the Melbourne stormwater network, pumping stormwater from the greater Port Melbourne area directly to Port Phillip Bay.
NPE put forward multiple solutions from large dry-mounted BA600 diesel pumps to electric submersibles and generators.
Customers worked side by side with NPE to make the best design decision with the range of options available to them.
NPE stayed flexible and staged works with different bypassing pumps at each stage catering to the customers isolation requirements.

The following customised system was installed to provide the customer with 1800L/s total capacity which fulfilled the project application and pumping duration and allowed our client to carry out remedial maintenance and upgrades.

  • 3x 185kW submersibles
  • 2x 325kVa Silenced generators
  • Bespoke NPE designed discharge manifolds
  • Level control
