Dewatering Civil Construction – Apartment Building, SA

One of our valued customers asked us to provide a dewatering system to lower groundwater levels in preparation for constructing a basement carpark for their apartment building.

The two x 100m Wellpoint Dewatering Systems were installed inside the secant perimeter piling using a combination of machine drilling and hand spearing. To facilitate access for excavation and shotcreting between wellpoint spears, the systems were installed offset from the piling walls.

Groundwater was intercepted at 1.9m below ground level. The dewatering systems have now lowered groundwater levels to 4m.

The systems were installed and commissioned efficiently and safely and will continue to run for several weeks.
