About the role:

We are looking for a Warehouse Leading Hand to join our Derrimut Branch. The successful candidate will work closely with the Yard Supervisor to assist with current workload and project preparation of the branch. You must have unlimited working rights in Australia to apply for this role.

Position Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring high levels of engagement of team members by assisting the Workshop Supervisor with training, support and mentoring of workshop team member.
  • Display a safe conscious attitude with commitment to abide by and promote all company values, policies and procedures.
  • Accountability for the effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a safe and timely manner to minimise cost and increase productivity.
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure that NPE has up-to-date information for our fleet.
  • Assessment and inspection of returned fleet for damage.
  • Providing modification drawings to Document Control to ensure all designs are current.
  • Ensuring rebuilds and testing on various modes of pumping equipment is completed.
  • Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing, safety, delivery and purchasing paperwork is completed in full.
  • Overseeing site handover to clients following completed installations.
  • Ensuring that inspections and assessments of returned fleet for damage are carried out appropriately, including scope of repairs and parts required.
  • Accountability for the team’s accurate engine diagnosis, mechanical repairs and servicing.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of servicing information and other documentation of all team members.
  • Maintaining timely connection and testing of pumping equipment.
  • Undertake necessary risk and pre-tasks assessments.
  • Other duties as required by Manager.

Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)

Essential:

  • Relevant Trade Certificate.
  • Ability to provide clear directions and coach team members as required.
  • Experience in pump maintenance/repairs.
  • Experience in assessing and scoping required repairs & parts.
  • Experience in rebuilds on various modes of pumping equipment.
  • Organisational and multi-tasking skills.

Desirable:

  • Demonstrated experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries
  • Forklift Ticket
