We’ve all been guilty of it at one point or another, we’ve all made the decision to go with the easy option and it’s ended up being a total pain in the proverbial. At NPE we’ve seen it time and time again with customers needing to hire or buy specialised pumping or power solutions, but they opt for the one-stop hire shop option, so that they can get all the gear for the site in one place and still make it to the pub to meet Mick at 3pm.

Needless to say, this type of decision often ends badly with a string of problems, which normally costs time and money and leads to subsequent issuance of pineapples from the boss when the gear doesn’t perform. Unfortunately, when you call the bloke from the place where you hired it he tells you that he hasn’t come across this type of issue before because they just hire the gear and don’t really know too much more about it – but he has a great new Wacker packer in the yard that he can hire you too!
