Residential Development Dewatering & Water Treatment – Calderwood, NSW

Building on the success of long-term dewatering and water treatment works in the Illawarra region, National Pump & Energy (NPE) was engaged to support residential development activities at Calderwood, NSW. The project presented an opportunity to deliver reliable and compliant water management solutions across a 4 km stretch of challenging terrain, including wetlands and natural waterways.

Two main water treatment trains were installed in late August 2025, enabling consistent site support through ongoing installations, daily system checks, and maintenance activities. During peak wet weather events—including periods of heightened flash-flood risk—the system performed reliably with continuous monitoring and 24/7 coverage as required.

Throughout the project, the dewatering and treatment system successfully maintained variable flows ranging from approximately 19–25 m³ per day up to 500 m³ per day. Raw water levels reached up to 1500 NTU, with treated discharge consistently maintained below 50 NTU, ensuring environmental compliance under demanding conditions.
The project has delivered strong outcomes to date and will continue through to mid-2026, with additional opportunities emerging across civil construction and dry hire support. This work reinforces NPE’s capability to deliver dependable dewatering and water treatment solutions on complex residential and infrastructure developments.
