Quarry pit dewatering is essential for maintaining safe and productive operations by removing accumulated rainwater and groundwater to prevent flooding and access issues. Following heavy rainfall in Far North Queensland, NPE was engaged at a Quarry project to deliver a rapid dewatering solution.
A newly commissioned HH160 high-head pump was deployed to efficiently remove excess water, enabling the pit to be dewatered within seven days and allowing operations to safely resume. This project highlights NPE’s ability to provide fast, reliable, high-capacity pumping solutions in response to extreme weather events.
