Mosaic Parkside Subdivision Dewatering WA
Bos Civil is currently undertaking the Mosaic Parkside Subdivision, Stage 1 project in Balcatta. This involves deep excavation and service installation. With the primary challenge of groundwater, extensive dewatering is required due to the depth of the excavations.
To address this, the NPE team have installed doublesided Wellpoint systems to lower groundwater levels and localised sump pumping to manage water levels in trenches. The wellpoint systems are being installed with NPE’s drill and flush rig due to difficult ground conditions. Water discharged from dewatering operations is going into onsite infiltration trenches with twice daily environmental testing as required per DMP.
The construction methodology includes staged excavations and dewatering installs so BOS Civil can progress through their scope without interruption. Overall, with this clearly outlined plan, Bos Civil aims to successfully complete the project within a 15-week timeframe.
