National Pump and Energy is pleased to announce we have acquired the Vortex Group.

This is a very exciting development for both organisations and indeed the broader pump and power rental industry in Australia. This latest acquisition by National Pump & Energy secures it the position of being the largest pump rental company in Australia.

The result of this acquisition will see National Pump & Energy have in excess of 6,000 dewatering pumps and generators in its hire fleet with a national footprint spanning 12 branches across 5 states and 1 territory and in excess of 450 employees.

The acquisition of Vortex allows NPE to continue its support of their customers by
• Further enhancing NPE’s pool of leading technical experts
• Expansion of the NPE national branch footprint
• The largest Ready for Rent pump fleet in Australia
• Continuing our Clean Energy, Clean Water and Clean Waste Vision for the future.

This acquisition of the Vortex Group by National Pump and Energy is yet a further piece of the plan finalised that started in back in Mackay in 2001 by a small pump services company that had a vision to one day to be the largest dewatering pump company in the country. Now 20 years later; 4 acquisitions and 450 employees, that dream has become a reality that every NPE employee can be proud to be a part of.
