River Diversion System

When TRUenergy needed someone to stop the inflow into the Yallourn Power Station open cut mine, by diverting the Morwell River away from the levy breach to the nearby Latrobe River, they called us and we delivered.

This project involved several facets of our company and its services, including engineering, design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and complete project management.

We delivered on brief and in addition to core equipment, we provided: all floating equipment and lift points to Marine Orders 32 construction standard and all diesel powered and electrical components to MDG15. All site vehicles, telehandlers, hoses, custom spooling, flanges, high and low pressure custom hose, flow meters, valves, gaskets, fasteners and contingent spares.

Equipment

  • Pontoon mounted 1,000v electrically operated 1,250lt/sec pumps
  • 2 megawatt diesel powered containerised power station
  • 2 x 415v to 1000v step up transformers, switchboards, cable and all associated hoses tie-in spools, valves and fasteners to effect tie-in to 1,600mm pre-installed HDPE discharge line
