Delivering an impressive 10 million litres of water each day – NPE are keeping up water supply for a major infrastructure construction project in New South Wales.
NPE’s pipeline contracted proportion of the project allows the client to proceed with bulk earthworks at the development site with an integral dust suppression system.
NPE’s full scope of supply includes design, installing 12kms of HDPE pipe, overhead standpipes, five BBA BA300 canopy pumps for water reticulation and maintenance for this large-scale project.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the hire game, sales specialist Barry McRae said he was in awe of the scale of the project.
“It’s one of the biggest projects I’ve ever worked on,” Mr McRae said.
“The NPE installation crew have been onsite for nearly two weeks and have installed over 3km of pipeline.
“The two welding teams work simultaneously from two stations – averaging about 500m of completed pipework each day.”
Mr McRae said the new setup was equipped to fill the client’s 60,000L water cart in less than three minutes.
“It’s an extremely efficient system to refill water carts for dust suppression and assist with compaction on the massive 18ha development site.”

With full telemetry integration, NPE designed a system that can be remotely monitored and managed with fully automated pumps.
“The customer can control the pump flows and stop and start from remote stations or on their laptops and mobile devices,” Mr McRae said.
Maintenance inspections by the NPE team can be capped at once a week to keep the project steaming along with full insight to system efficiency.
