About the Role:
We are looking for a patient Storeperson on our Welshpool branch who Manage both inward and outward stock movement whilst maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory records, associated documentation and recording keeping activities; Loading and unloading of plant and equipment exiting and entering the yard; and cleaning and general housekeeping of all plant and equipment and the yard facilities.

Position Description

Key Accountabilities

• Manage all stock levels and movements and follow through with any discrepancies that arise
• Receipt stock in accordance with policies and procedures
• Approve all packing slips for payment once stock has been reconciled
• Keep accurate records for all inwards and outwards inventory movements, including invoice reconciliation and liaising with our internal account’s personnel
• Report to the Branch Manager relevant stores and stock data as requested
• Prepare Hire Equipment Packages where necessary
• Complete procurement of service products and ensure accurate records are maintained using NPE systems
• Perform safe loading and unloading of plant and equipment exiting and returning to the yard
• Provide customer service to walk-in customers
• Ensuring timely completion for all inspection, testing, safety, delivery and purchasing paperwork is completed in full
• Conduct general housekeeping of the yard facilities in accordance with company standards
• Conduct general workshop/yard cleanliness, tidiness and litter management, including waste removal
• Manage OH&S and environmental hazards in the workplace
• Assist as otherwise directed by the Branch Manager, supervisor or workshop coordinator

Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)

Essential:
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Current Driver’s Licence
• High risk Forklift Licence (LF)
• Well-developed communication skills
• Experience with inventory systems and associated equipment
• Demonstrable capabilities to prioritise work and to plan proactive maintenance activities
• Ability to work with flexibility and initiative with limited direction or supervision

Desirable:
• Previous experience in workshop environment
• High Risk Rigging & Dogging License (DG/RG)
