Position Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage projects and initiatives to ensure solutions and expected benefits are delivered;
  • Definition and translations of business requirements into plans and solutions to culminate in customer acceptance or results meeting business objectives;
  • Represent the Company in concept, planning and progress meetings with key clients and projects
  • Engagement of stakeholders and management through promoting change management throughout the NPENPEevant business units;
  • Project quality management and ensuring deliverables meet agreed internal design and client specified criteria;
  • Assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate project resources provides guidance, ¬†direction and critical time paths to project team members;
  • Liaison and manage service providers to prepare project strategies, plans, schedules, co-ordinate team activities, review progress against plans and facilitate risk management and issue resolution;
  • Proactive management of project finances, schedule, scope, issues, risks, communications, resource planning, reporting, stakeholders, sub-contractors and vendors;
  • Manage project teams maintaining thorough and efficient solution delivery processes;
  • Deliver projects to plan (i.e. on schedule and budget);
  • Prepare / present project plans and status reports to organisational leadership, project teams and client / customer groups;
  • Perform quality reviews against existing projects;
  • Other duties as directed by the Senior Management.

Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)

  • Project management experience within the application delivery arena and a proven track record in the delivery of¬†dewatering Projects
  • Detailed knowledge of dewatering, pumping system design, pipeline design and installation;
  • Solid knowledge of mining industry practices from a operational and financial perspective, with an appreciation of safety requirements within the mining industry;
  • Transition management;
  • Advance Microsoft Project Skills essential with good understanding of project estimating and earned value calculations;
  • Ability to travel to site as required
  • Ability to lead and develop a project team from front end in order to extract the best from team members;
  • Proven experience running projects in excess of $1 Million;
  • Strong documentation development and management skills;
  • Excellent Telephone Manner;
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills;
  • Organisational and multi tasking skills;
  • Able to work unsupervised.
  • Tertiary background in Engineering, Mining or Business Management. (desirable)
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, Prince 2) (desirable)
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment;
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Candidates must live in and have the right to work in Australia to be considered.
