Position Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Design and  install complete wiring harnesses for a wide range of engines and pumping equipment,
  • Familiar with engine make/models such as Cummins, Cat, Volvo and Isuzu
  • Familiar with Cummins Quickserve and Cummins Insite
  • Familiar with CATERPILLAR Catsis
  • Control panel installation, diagnostics and repairs to major engine brands
  • Configure engine controllers to suit job specific pumping applications, including PLC programming (Comap, Kensho,)
  • Experience with devices using Modbus protocol
  • Configure instrumentation including but not limited to radios, routers and a variety of  I/O devices
  • Installing and commissioning pumping/telemetry systems onsite
  • Customer interaction  – processing and implementing customer requirements
  • Make documentation for Harness plans, Electrical Schematics
  • Fault finding with or without the help of electrical schematics
  • Carry out inspections and process paperwork for scheduled maintenance

Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)

  • MUST reside in and hold full working rights in Australia;
  • Trade qualified;
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings;
  • Experience in diesel engine and mechanical maintenance/repairs;
  • Experience in assessing and scoping required repairs & parts;
  • Current and valid C class driver’s license;
  • Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries (desirable);
  • Experience in diesel engine rebuilds (desirable);
  • Electrical connect/disconnect (desirable);
  • High risk license LF (forklift) (desirable).
