National Pump & Energy is closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and following all measures as ordered and recommended by the Australian Government and Health Authorities. We assure you that we are working proactively and have been carefully considering and actioning our preparedness to minimise any impact on our business activities in order to maintain continuity of service and supply.

NPE has 11 branches nationally carrying additional rental and sales stock above our regular holdings to enable us to continue to provide the top level of service to our valued customers.

We care about our Employees and the Community and have increased our safety protocols to all our personnel (good hygiene, self-isolation and social distancing) to mitigate any potential spread of the virus both within our branches and for the essential travel for some of our people.

People Management

Control Measure implemented to ensure the safety of all stakeholders:

  • Administration, Sales and Support Employees, where practical, will work remotely;
  • IT and Accounting teams to work on a roster so essential services and offices are maintained;
  • Pre-start meetings will be split into smaller groups to ensure that social distancing measures apply;
  • Where possible, maintaining 1.5m distance between co-workers;
  • Delivery Drivers an Truck Drivers are to remain in their vehicles, or only permitted to exit in designated areas where they can drop off deliveries;
  • Suppliers are to contact NPE via phone and email. If a branch visit is necessary, a pre-arranged appointment will be arranged and social distancing measures will be maintained.
  • Sub-contractors will need to follow all NPE safety protocols as outlined in this document.

Hygiene Protocols:

  • Washing of hands frequently with soap and water, before and after eating, and after going to the toilet;
  • Covering cough’s and sneeze’s, disposing of tissues, and using alcohol-based hand sanitiser; and
  • If unwell, avoiding contact with others (staying more than 1.5 metres from people). If unwell, employees are asked to stay away from the workplace.

Additional Measures being considered:

  • All employees to have external temperature checks prior to commencing work (via an infra-red thermometer, once they become available);
  • Split shifts for mechanical teams to limit people in the workshop at the same time and to encourage social distancing measures.

These controls are being implemented to reduce the risk of Covid-19 impacting our business. NPE is working to keep our business operating as smoothly as possible during this time and to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on our workforce.

Further controls may be implemented upon advice from the Australian Government Department of Health as it is provided.
