Position Description

Key Accountabilities

We are seeking a highly motivated Rental Assistant to provide support to the Rental Coordinator with the efficient processing, maintenance and servicing of plant & equipment, administrative support and excellence in customer service.

Reporting to the Branch Manager and supporting the Rental Coordinator, the key responsibilities of the role is as follows:

  • Gain knowledge in the business, plant and equipment so as to effectively support our customers with their rental/sales requirements, ensuring that the customer receives equipment suitable to their needs and within their required time frames;
  • Maintain all hire records and documentation associated with plant and equipment hire accurately;
  • Organise equipment deliveries and pick-ups;
  • Effective communicate and perform as a key member of the NPE team, ensuring that you understand, prioritise and deliver on your assigned daily tasks;
  • Coordinate the maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment, to ensure regular tests are conducted on motorised equipment at the required intervals;
  • Process all associated rental, sales and maintenance documentation in a timely and accurate manner in line with business policies and procedures;
  • Deliver excellence customer service to both our internal and external customers;
  • Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement;
  • Conduct all duties safely and ensure you, your team members and customers are safe at work;
  • Conduct your duties in line with company policies and procedures;
  • Promote NPE rental products and service to ensure continued growth and long-term success.

Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)

  • Current C Class Driver’s Licence;
  • Intermediate to advanced keyboard and Microsoft Office skills, in particular, with Word, Excel.
  • Sound communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise work, especially under pressure.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of, or ability/willingness to gain knowledge of plant and equipment relevant to NPE’s fleet.
  • Forklift licence would be highly advantages
